Automotive Board: Car having difficulty accelerating

'08 Honda Accord with 80,000 miles on it. Noticed it was becoming harder and harder to accelerate and RPM's cranking up. The only thing different is I switched to synthetic oil the last oil change (which is allowed per owner's manual) and it may be time for transmission fluid change. Air filter is 1 year old but pretty clean. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Transmission slipping.

So the RPMs go up, but no acceleration?

It isn't revving up past 3000 but the car has clearly lost its pickup and feels like it is struggling.

Haha the only way I'm getting a corvette is if I can steal one. I'm no OT baller as of now.

Could be time for a tune up or you might have a plugged up converter

Check fuel pressure, could be a fuel filter issue.
Catalytic converters could be clogging up.
Have you ever put new spark plugs in it?
Are the throttle cables intact?
Check FICV could be clogged.
That vintage does have a recall for an intake tube that collapses.
Need more info on symptoms and what type of engine you have to help any more.

I don't get why this is being anchored...

Drive it into a big crater at the museum and collect the insurance?

i had the same thing recently, and thought it was a fuel pump or filter. ended up being a clogged catalytic converter

Get someone to do an emissions check.
It may be a bad catalytic convertor.
