Awful. All you guys in college still that think this can't happen to you or a pledge that you're hazing, be careful. You don't know how much they've already drank and you just may force the last one down their throat. I'm not against fraternities or hazing as I was in one and know there are benefits to both but I'm 100% against alcohol hazing

Prayers to the family.

Freshman seem the most vulnerable.

I wonder how closely this will resemble that Penn State fraternity death.

A pledge died of alcohol posioning. They arrested a few of the brothers this morning and BRPD just went back and arrested more of them.

If Hillar Moore was there, it is likely that they are already looking at this as a potential homicide

If the facts are as stated, someone should go to jail but may not if the Penn State case is any indication.

Exactly. Sad situation, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if LSU's administration tried to use this to hammer Greek Life.

First off, prayers to the family.

Second, I get fraternities have their "hazing" and based off old traditions and stuff. And we don't know the full story yet, but there is no way a kid should be pushed close to anything where death could happen.

Wouldn't manslaughter be a charge more apt to actually stick?

The other thread went off in several directions with rumors that turned out to be untrue.
