These are basic tenants of living within your means.
Rule 1: Buy a house no more expensive than 3x your household income.
Rule 2: Buy a vehicle no more expensive than 1/3 your individual income.
--- Rule 2a: If you are a one income household, both vehicles should equal 1/3 of household income.
--- Rule 3a: If you let your wife drive the more expensive car, you drive the beater.
Rule 3: The end goal of fiscal responsibility is to not have any bills at all.
A bare bones A6 is $48k. And fully loaded is $60k. *Not including TTL.
So, you better have a household income of at least $150-180k AND have the other vehicle paid off.
There really is NO point in buying a car to show off that you have money..... if you don't, in fact, have the money.
And for God's Sake, Please do not lease a car Ever again.

Let me guess you think BMW is the ultimate German car in a country dominated by AMG Mercedes and Porsche.
Good lord

We're not talking Porsche here, dumbass.

Ok dickhead, our gross income is over $330,00. Our housenote is $1600/per month a 12 year note and my car is paid off - paid cash. We both sack away atleast 20% annually. Back away -

You said the M series was the pinnacle of German cars earlier. Page 2

It is.
I'd rather have an M3 than a 911. 911s are for women.

I can't convince her to buy a used Honda for $20,000. So here goes. She's driven a Infiniti G37 (sport?) for a few years - her lease is up another issue lol. Anyway. Any other cars should she consider BMW etc. For those that will flame away - we have three accounts mine, hers, and ours. So If she wants to spend her money that way it's her choice.
This is very well written.

No DanielI have actually owned one of (several in fact) of each.
Of those 3, for total sensory overload behind the wheel, give me the Porsche.

The 911 has many different trims so i would buy an m3 over a base 911, but the 911 turbo variants are unreal. There also expensive as hell though because there great.

I'm not the one defending the worst German automaker.

If you actually think a M Series is better quality than stuff like the AMG GT R, Porsche 911r or Porsche 918 you should be admitted into a mental institution.

I'm talking about commonly available vehicles. I'm so glad you blew a dude in a Mercedes once. I'm sure that '92 300 E was the nicest thing you'll ever be in.
