frick that. When my kids were younger I would bitch my wife out if she tried to set me up on a "play date" with some kids dipshit dad I had nothing in common with.

the majority of my close friends I went to elementary school with, including my fiance. Strange how that works out.

I'm still in frequent contact via fb/phone with friends of mine I've known since I was 14. But they don't live anywhere near me...so I don't see them often. I've recently made many new friends where I live at. I may not have the history I have with older friends...but they are women that I can hang out with on a regular basis and they can relate to my current circumstances.

I've been in my city for about a year and a half, but making friends has been kind of a struggle since coming done here.

All of my best friends have been my best friends since about 2nd or 3rd grade.

I'm at the point now where they're all getting married and moving off so I imagine that will change unfortunately.

Not as bad this year, but a lot of elem/MS/HS friends were all getting engaged/married last year. It's all I saw on my FB feed

It seems like everyone in this thread lived in the same city for their entire childhood. I went to 7 different schools from k-8 and a boarding school for high school that was over 1000 miles away from where my parents were at the time. I never made any sort of "life-long" bonds with anyone during that time.

As for my best friends, I would say 22-25 is when I met the 2 guys I would take a bullet for and vice versa.
