At what point do you accept you may be a clown, or a dumbass, or the bad guy?

Do any of us, at any point, look at ourselves and realize we may be the clown, the retard? Or the a-hole?

Has anyone here ever come to that conclusion over time? And what did you do about it?

Asking for my neighbors and those I meet on the highway.

Please give us your experience first.

Thanks.

An ancient proverb says that if you ran into an a-hole this morning, that guy was probably just an a-hole. If you run into assholes all day, you're probably the a-hole.

If you're asking about self awareness, no most people do not have the ability to be introspective to that degree.

I can do kind things for people, and I strive to. But I seem genetically incapable of expressing kindness or empathy with words. It's a problem, TBH. Nobody has ever been able to make me feel better with words and I don't know how to make others feel better. I'm probably a little bit on the spectrum.

I’ve been told I’m an A-hole at work, but it’s a blue collar job and I just put my head down and work instead of shooting the shite all day like a bunch of people around here.

Oh well I get a paycheck that’s all I care

Everyone acts like a dumbass clown at various points. The key is to accept it, reflect upon it, and do better next time.

There are too many people in this world, however, that never come to the realization that they are acting like a clown, and so they end up becoming an actual clown.

The world needs more people like you, not less. Kind actions are infinitely more important than kind words. A small act of kindness when genuine gives hope. There's a reason the golden rule starts with "Do..." and not "Say...".

I came to grips with being the a-hole in my relationship when my 7 year old daughter told me I was too impatient with my wife. I’m still the a-hole, but my infractions occur with far less frequency.

We are all these all the time, depending on perspective.

I am always the bad guy. It's what I do. I own it without any remorse.
