Are wildfires in the West covered under standard insurance policy?

Or are they separate like flood policies that are needed for storm surge from hurricane?

I wouldn't think so, but it should be like wind and hail.. and charge their asses off like they do us...

I am gonna probably say no. I guess it is like flood insurance. If you live in the fire zone which probably includes much of California you gonna pay. I bet it is pretty expensive right about now.
