Scruffy has been pondering this mystery of the universe.

What says the OT?
quote:

1. the sweet and fleshy product of a tree or other plant that contains seed and can be eaten as food. "tropical fruits such as mangoes and papaya"

The existence of testicles isn't what defines a human.

Fruit contain seeds. It is in the definition.

Having no seeds makes them more fruity because they can't have children

If testicles didn't produce sperm would they still be testicles?

Yes they are. They're bred (not sure what the better word is there) without seeds. But they wouldn't be able to produce new grapes so they shouldn't count as a separate entity from regular grapes except when being eaten

Of course they are. Sorry scruffy but that's a stupid question. The seed thing is more of a helpful way of telling the difference between fruits and other things. Altering a fruit so that it doesn't have seeds doesn't change the biological classification of it. Humans could be described as being more intelligent than our primate relatives, but is a mentally retarded person not a person?

That isn't in the definition.

"Contains seeds" is in the definition of fruit.

They still have seeds. The seeds are just tiny and shriveled. I think.

Why do they still sell seeded grapes? I have tasted some that were absolutely delicious, but not worth the hassle. Seriously, who buys seeded grapes?
