I'll compromise: maybe if you have to do it, be quiet about it. I don't want to hear you honking into a kleenex while I'm trying to get work done.

If I don't blow my nose as needed during allergy season, the result is snot blasting out after my rapid fire sneeze sessions. I don't think you'd prefer that.

There's about 2-3 weeks a year where I am a live, volatile volcano of snot. All ye beware who stand in front of me, for I sneeze randomly and raucously.

We have this woman that burns popcorn every fricking day around 4 pm. She is fat and does not need popcorn, but that's beside the point. That burnt popcorn smells awful and lingers until I leave for the day around 5.

This has been happening for over a year, but she has worked here 30 years, is very nice, very smart, and I keep my mouth shut.

I'd rather someone blow their nose than have to sit there and listen to them sniff the same piece of snot over and over again.

I feel like people that don't have allergies really don't understand what goes on during flare ups. You can't just go to the bathroom, because they can persist and then recur off and on throughout the day. And they can extend for weeks at a time, so it's not like having a cold and just staying home. It's fricking pollen and it's possibly the most aggravating thing ever.

I try my damnedest to medicate and keep sneezing/nose blowing under control but there are sudden onsets that wreck your shite.

The struggle is real.

In the office is fine. At the dinner table is not.

I do work with a lady that loudly hocks mucous in her throat multiple times a day. Gross.

Yeah, I just close the door to my office. I can practically do whatever I want in there and I won't be a bother to anyone.

I mean, do they think we don't know our sneezing can be a nuisance?

It drives me insane too. We 're more aggravated with it than they are.

There was a particular occasion where I was forced to be outside around these blooming plants. This was the most ridiculous sneezing/snot experience of my life. I was constantly fleeing to blow my nose and it just kept coming back. I had to tell people to please stop saying "bless you" unless they wanted to be saying it on a continuous loop. It makes me feel like ten times more of a nuisance when people tell me bless you after a 30 minute bout of sneezing.
