Yep. Really like my wife's Sorento. Just bought a Forte for my daughter - also a nice ride.

But did you know Samsung makes cars in Korea?

quote:Honda, Datsun (Nissan), and Toyota were the cheapest of the cheap (aka considered trashy) in the very late 1960s/early '70s when Detroit was still reigning over the American auto scene. Fact was, the Big 3 auto makers were building junk. The Japanese car makers were a mystery novelty but soon proved to be makers of well built and affordable cars, which soon grabbed a growing niche in the US.
When was Honda trashy, the 1970s? I don't think so.

That's what I recall, a novelty, not trashy. The trashy people were driving used Monzas, Mustang IIs, and crap like that with the rear end lifted and hard rock blasting.

I wanted my wife to get an Acura RDX. So we went and drove it. It was fabulous. She also wanted me to drive the car she's been wanting which was the Hyundai Sante Fe Sport. So I went and drove it. I was amazed at the interior and exterior of the Hyundai. Honestly the only thing Acura beat it on was the ride comfort and braking. Everything else was on par with the Acura. I've been pleased so far with her car.
The engine is the size of a large grapefruit though.

Nevermind, I just saw some of your posts. You're "that guy" that hops in threads and tells people the thread sucks.

Branded as Genesis, they come along way.
That said $ for $ I would put my money in a brand with more panache and resale like Lexus.
Hyundai and Kia provides great value, but you will get hit on resale.
