I think subs look good too, I'd probably look for a birth year (1974) model if I got one. There's one on eBay right now for $6250.
I think they look better without the bracelet...even though that's probably the best looking bracelet watch made.

I have my watch on a NATO and I don't call what I'm wearing an outfit.

Gold watches are ok for white women...for a man...just wear freakin stainless. Then again, I subscribe to the Billy Hoyle philosophy of style.

I have a gold bulova somewhere that I found in the bottom of my golf bag.
I have a 24k ancient pocket watch from my wife's grandfather that I really need to buy a chain for.
A few others as well, an old rolex, an omega that needs a lot of gelp, a ww2 german aviator watch, a few German watches, random stuff filling my side of the jewelry boxm
But my new favorite watch which I now wear nearly everyday is the cheap little $16 rubber casio watch I bought. I put a $60 20mm canvas band on it and it looks kind of awesome.

I know you swap your NATO straps to match your outfits
And don't pull Jason Isbell on me when you're trying to make a "it's more manly!" argument about color coordination

I want something like this. I will likely get a birth year (86) as well. Save some money since it would just be my sport watch, and have the cool aspect of it being as old as me.

I wear my watch on two bands only...the factory leather on a deployant clasp and a version of a James Bond NATO with black hardware.
That's it, the statement about no man should wear a gold bracelet was strictly a point of style...nothing to do with what's actually manly. I hate macho bullshite.

All of my extremely wealthy white friends rock rose gold Daytona's, Day-date's, etc. I would wear gold but I am poor compared to some of my friends.

I'm guessing the oyster probably didn't hold up for 42 years. Looks like they polished the case to remove defects, and I doubt you'd ever match a bracelet to that now...if the lugs could even hold one tight enough now. They look pretty worn.
