Years ago, went to an outdoor wedding in Tyler that was "dressy casual." Brother-in-law shows up in coverall shorts and flip flops.

Life is short. Wear what makes you comfortable. Oh, and it depends on the kind of flip flops you are wearing. I wear Vionic or Olukai because both have a good arch support.

Shorts + flip flops = off work
but I mostly wear either UA shorts and tshirt w/ running shoes or nicer shorts and polo with flip flops. Running shoes with collared shirts are for 14 year olds
