Would like to get in a round on the way down to the camp and am curious about courses in the area. I see Southern Oaks which looks pretty poor and is only 9 holes. Ellendale looks nice but its a private course. What are my options?

Have you played Atchafalaya in Patterson?

Or Latour in Matthews?

I know they aren't houma but they are reasonably close

not sure where the camp is, but there are a few.
Ellendale (I think you can pay to play there) is nice
LaTour in Raceland is nice
Houma Golf Course off of 315 is not a bad place either.
never been to Southern Oaks

I was confused for a sec and thought Patterson was pretty close to Houma

I was thinking of Morgan city though

I don't venture that far south of I don't have to

Houma Golf Course is nowhere near the level of Latour, E-Dale, or atchafalaya. It is cheap though

I played in that last year with Vandelay Industries and Longnecker.

There is nothing. Ellendale is nice but private. Southern Oaks is garbage. The only other public course is literally like trailer park equivalent of a golf course. Like seeing a guy play shirtless wouldn't surprise me.

Pass on my way to work lately, it's improved and looks better than any BREC ranch

Are you a member where you live anywhere? Ellendale has recipricol agreements with a lot of clubs... Or if you know any Ellendale members, they can call and set you up. It's not a hard place to get on. I played this afternoon and it's in awesome shape.

Vandelay Industries has a guest account set up there he can play under.

I think he's also required to charge $50 or $100 in food and beverage.
