did for years then decided it was stupid and stopped. I sleep fine without it

Wifey won't sleep with the ceiling fan, so I have a tower fan about 3 ft from my side of the bed. She loves the noise it makes, but she won't admit it.

Yeah a box fan. Cost around 20 bucks. It's a must have if I want to go to bed sober.

Yep, slept with one growing up in Louisiana. Later on when I lived in downtown Austin I would often be woken by drunk idiots on the streets. Bought a fan and it completely drowned out the street noise. It was great. I still use one today.

Same here I use a box fan that lays flat blowing into the carpet of the bedroom. Sound with NO wind.

It has fan sounds, rain, babbling brook, creek, Air conditioner, aquarium, camp fire, frogs, large or small clock, crickets, fountain, dripping water, etc, etc, etc
I use the ocean sound. It is the very calming sound of waves lapping on the beach - you hear a large wave as it crashes in and then runs back out and then a trickle of the remaining water going back into the ocean, just wave after wave until you're unconscious. You can also have multiple sounds at separate volume levels. I have tried the seagulls with the ocean but it doesn't work for me - maybe because seagulls are only out during day time.

I sleep with a fan every night, mainly because my wife likes it about 10 degrees warmer than I do. We split the difference and set the thermostat at 72-73.
I was thinking about getting one of their pedestal fans.

Yep. Ceiling fan on high and one of those skinny ones, on oscillate. AC on 68 tonight. Sometimes 67, sometimes 69. I might actually go bump it to 69. Kinda cold.

You get used to it. I've always slept with ceiling fan on high, but when I moved to my current place where my room is upstairs, it just wasn't cutting it. I added my floor fan, and I was stuffy for a couple weeks.. but now, it has no effect on me.

The Honeywell that was posted is good for travel depending on the kind of luggage space you have.
I wish I had it when I was in an AirBnb in someone's garage apartment in San Francisco where they don't have A/C. I almost died in there with no moving air.
