Who would have thought years ago that such a thing would become obsolete

I use my phone and want to switch back to an alarm clock. It's nice and I've been using it for a couple years now on its own, but sometimes it's too easy to turn off instead of hitting snooze, which can lead to problems.

I want one of those fancy, sunlight emulating alarm clocks. I doubt it works as well as described, but the added light might be a nicer way of waking up than my typical routine of hitting snooze 7 times.

Yeah. It's on the other side of the room so that I have to get out of bed.

Use my phone when traveling though.

Yes. The phone alarm isnt nearly annoying enough to reliably wake me up

Yep....I like to listen to the radio in the mornings and don't want my phone making noises all night as e-mails come in. Easiest thing to do is silence my phone and set the radio alarm.

Old phone as my alarm because it vibrates hard enough to wake me without being noisy and waking my husband. I just bought a vibrating alarm because I'm waiting for the phone (a flip phone from God knows when) to finally croak and I'll be shite up a creek.

This

Also I used to have one where it would blink a light instead of noise. Unfortuantely it broke -- need to replace it one of these days.

I still own one, but I don't use it. I use the alarm on my phone.

I own one (well, a couple in the house actually) but don't use it as an alarm. Been waking up for years without the necessity of an alarm.

I have an alarm set on my iPhone for every 2 minutes after the time I originally set it for. Sonit will literally keep going off for another 20 times if all i do is hit snooze.

It wakes me up fairly easily after 1 or 2 of those alarms

Most phones can be set to silent and the alarm will still sound. My phone stays on silent almost 24/7 because I can't stand the vibrating and my alarm goes off every single morning just as loud as it should.

I use one. I can tell what time it is easily at night without turning the phone on.
