Make her drive the ‘09 POS for a couple of weeks while you cruise around in the new 4 Runner. I bet she changes her mind.

No pics required.

If I want to see an entitled bitch I'll just wait for MY wife to get home.

So she has a brand new vehicle while you drive a fifteen year old beater? Take her Toyota all the time, leave her the pos and see how quickly she changes her tune.

Even a stay at home dad would need his own daily transportation.

The only way a single vehicle family would work is without kids, and both spouses work primarily from home.

Life’s too short to not enjoy what you drive

My wife and I carpool everyday, so yes. Neither of us are slobs, so it works out.

do what you always have to do and compromise on it.

go buy you a used 2016 thru 2019 model.

you save a ton on new and that will last you another 10 years trouble free if you change oil regularly.

Drive the pos until the wheels fall off, when they fall off put them back on and drive it some more. Put away what your new car payment would be for a few years.

Do you have a family? Get a nice minivan. They are awesome for hauling stuff around

To me, you already have the perfect set up. One awesome family car, and another just for daily transportation.

When first car is paid off, buy the second car.

Did she ask you to buy the 2023 4Runner? Buying any new car is "a waste". Maybe she doesn't want to throw money away like the depreciation hit you're already taking on her vehicle. Get yourself a 5-10 year old Toyota/Lexus.
