We purchased our Golden from HF. She lived to the age of seven and passed away due to Cancer. She also had a chronic skin condition that the Vet said was hereditary.

I have buddy that purchased a golden from HF. He also died of cancer around 7.

I've heard that their golden doodles have skin conditions as well.

Please find yourself a golden retriever rescue organization. Dogs are given up for many many reasons. It’s mostly bad people, not bad dogs.

I volunteer at the Northshore Humane Society in Covington. We have two beautiful black labs, mostly lab, named Taz and Walker. Both great dogs. You won’t regret it.

Only see her a few times a week and doesn't even glance at our house when she passes.

Can you blame her? She probably only comes by to shite on the porch.

Rescue dogs usually have undesirable traits that will never go away like being scared of men or newspapers

Idk my brother adopted a black lab from there and that thing sucked. Maybe too far gone from previous owner.

I love dogs, I have 3, and I didn’t even want to be around this dog.

And I have been around countless labs. This one really was an a-hole.

Again, do not buy a dog from puppy mill or a doodle breader.

Go find a rescue dog to adopt and love on. Plenty of doodle rescues out there now.

I've had 2 Goldens from Huntington. Great dogs. Lost one at 12 years and one at 13 years. Both from cancer. We've since become a vizsla house. Had my 2 vizslas for over a year and love them as much as my Goldens.
