Call LDWF. They may wait several days to see if the gator will leave on its own. They have a big page about nuisance Gators on their website.

Why would you call anybody? Alligators are critical to the ecosystem and serve a vital role. They help control the nuisance human population.

It's still gator season, so if you had a permit and an available tag... I guess it depends on who owns the pond.
