Friend’s brother invented some medical device, sold the rights to it, and has been retired since he was 35. He’s 52 now and has a small farm, though he spends most of his time traveling.

Know a guy who’s dad started Eastbay. Cool dude. You’d never know he had a ton of money. Normal low key guy.

I’m a close relative to an MIT PhD (Physics) who was in on the ground floor of the development of Nylon, Rayon, etc.

Some of his patents are company-related, some are/were his held privately.

He’s got several resort houses (beach, ski, high desert) and has set up an educational trust fund for his progeny.

Good dude.

My uncle invented the green foam that you stick fake plants in. Sold the patent for much less than he would have made had he not.

Live next door to them... Sinclair.

Grew up with a friend who’s dad invented hand cleaner called it Dab-a-Doub. I was always working on my car and he would ask my to try out different formulas and report back. His last name was Dabadoub. Precursor to Go-Jo

That dude lives in Mandeville. He has the patent on the reflector on highways and gets a penny or something for every one. Has a giant house in old Lewisburg.

I know a guy who made a ton of money on some sort of new car wax. He now loves about an hour outside Durango Colorado on God only knows how many acres of land. He spends his time going on exotic hunting trips. When he is home he rides around his property tending his elk feeders during the day and at night he sits on the deck of his massive log cabin Petting his dogs, sipping top shelf bourbon, smoking pot, and calling to his elk.

And as for that Cabin. In the basement is a vaulted room where he keeps a gun collection that could fully outfit in arms & ammunition the better part of an infantry company.

Hell yes. Bud of mine invented and got a patent on the rubber plugs used on insulated piping in the chem plants and refineries to have a spot to check pipe thickness......he has made a fortune on these.

I’m close to the daughter and granddaughter of the guy that invented the air hand dryer in bathrooms. Loaded is an understatement.

I’m good friends and fraternity brothers with the grandson of the guy that started Belk’s department store.
