It’s bad in North La.

Cooked is $6-$8.

Went out today looking for live to boil myself.

Damn near $100 for a sack of live and anyone willing to sell by the pound live wants $5.

Worst I’ve seen in years.

$100 per sack is less than $3/lb. That's pretty normal for this part of the season, and actually cheaper than last year.

I love that app but they only update it on Fridays. I drove out to place near Spring on Thursday and they were out of crawfish.

Crawfish Hole # whatever in Minden boils damn good crawfish. But they are the only good crawfish I've had north of Alexandria in 40 years.

I'm not saying that no one in Lafayette cooks that way, but it's certainly in the minority. I don't think I've ever been to a boil that didn't start with seasoning (usually liquid) being poured into a pot.

Short winter would not drive up prices a long winter would. Warmer weather makes crawfish more plentiful and bigger. You have no clue what you are talking about.

That's why you don't live in North La.
