Thanks! Can't watch that though. He has his wheelchair should he need it, so not too concerned. Just curious and anxious more than anything. But his PT wants to see him on Friday regardless.

Are you a doctor? Most non medical people have no clue what that is. And thanks.

Couldnt say more than I have. That would be something to ask your doctor.

Good luck to you and your son! I hope everything comes out positive.

It's weird because I don't get a lot of answers. They just tell me the surgery department will call the day before to go over things. That's a lot of time to mull things over with half information. Kind of annoyed by that. But, it doesn't sound like it will be too bad. He's having MRIs at the same time, so probably just another long day at the hospital for no new information.

Well do some serious research. Google muscle biopsy related to mitochondrial myopathy. You should be able to find a wealth of information that will help you out.

You're right. I usually choose not to Google because there isn't a lot I want to read. I should probably just take some deep breaths and wait until Wednesday and find out from the source. That would be the wisest choice.

I'm not an MD (I have a PhD). I have done a lot of work with kids who have one form or another. I've seen some amazing kids. NEVER GIVE UP!

My 1 1/2 year old son has one scheduled for June 13th. They are testing him for mitochondrial diseases due to a few developmental delays. He's had glasses since 9 months old and since then he's started crawling and now pulls up on walks holding on to things but isn't walking on his own yet.
