Has anyone been in one this long, or longer?
Did it crap out on you? Did you wake up in pain?

Foam mattress for near 10 years, not an OT Baller name brand. Still seems fine to me.

Remember in those 10 years you have become old. shite just hurts now.

I am curious about this as well...I have only ever heard from people who had recently purchased these. I am wondering how the memory foam beds hold up....

I’ve lost 30 pounds or so since I bought it. I wake up with my right, or left, arm numb. It hurts the entire day. I thought the material might just be old and crapping out. You’re a science guy. Does this stuff become compromised over time?

Yeah. I do. But I feel like the foam is giving out, my arm is sinking into the material, and my circulation is being cut off for extended periods of time. I wake up and it isn’t just dead/numb. It hurts for hours after I wake up.

I have to think it does. Never looked into longevity. Just if the foam was giving me cancer or not.

We had our tempurpedic for over 10 years. Husband thought we needed a new one because of his back, but I didn’t think so. We did get a new one with some kind of super soft topper. It’s like sleeping in a nest. Love it.

We’ve had ours for 11 years. Didn’t even think about it until I saw your post. I don’t notice any difference in the mattress.

My father had this exact same thing happen to him. Had nothing to do with the mattress. It was a medical condition. I’ll ask him what it was.

He had hand surgery and it fixed it immediately. Got worse and worse as time went on to the point that he could not get a good night’s sleep. Finally went to doctor who said he knew exactly what it was...something about a tendon pressing on a nerve and causing arm to go numb and hurt, only while sleeping. Outpatient surgery to cut tendon, it grows back properly in form of a bridge. Only bad thing was he couldn’t use his hand for about 6 weeks.

You may have a medical issue, not a mattress issue.

Mine is from sleeping with my arms above my head. My shoulders feel like they need to be scoped in the morning.

She says it’s fine. I don’t have an issue with my back. I sleep on my side, with my arm under the pillow. This all started a few months ago.
