No. Kids these days are such pussies. When I was a kid we'd kneel on rice during rainstorms while nuns beat us with rulers to show we understand rain is just God's punishment for the sins of the south.

School closings in south Louisiana have jumped the shark. Now they close if it's going to be in the 20s that night.

So the kids decide whether they have school or not? Or is it their parents?

Just because the school is closed doesn't mean they can't go there.

Personally, I'd like to see some initiative on some kids parts and still go to school. Be leaders, not followers.

Lots of people are gonna have to stay home with their kids tomorrow.

Looks like this rain is gonna shut down most of LA.

They're not dead last in the rankings so they must be doing something right.

If schools closed in the Baton Rouge area it would be Friday as that appears to be when the heaviest rain comes through. I don't think they anticipate major flooding down here like they have had in North Louisiana. 4 inches of rain over an entire day is nothing we can't handle.

Our nuns would make us pray that storms passed only on weekends and holidays so we wouldn't miss school.
