Anyone have any of those leatherbound Barnes and Noble "Collectible" editions?

I know they are basically a poor man's version of real collectible hardcovers, but I got to say some of these covers are really nice, and many of the collections, such as HP LoveCraft's stories and documents from the founding of our nation seem like good things to have in your library. They are all only 20 bucks, too.

many many more

They had a gorgeous Hemingway come out. Can't remember which one.

I have several and am quite pleased. If you are actually interested in reading one of the books, then it well worth it because the books are very sturdy and not that expensive.

I do. It was cheaper than buying both American Gods and Anansi Boys separately.

I bought quite a few of the classics. Great way of having classics in a nice format.

My wife gave me the Edgar Allen Poe version last year.
I didn't have the heart to tell her (I collect books, always looking for good 1st ed.) it wasn't something I would've bought, but she wrote an inscription - something like:

For my 19 on his birthday -

This is for you to read and enjoy - now you can leave your expensive old one alone.

Love...

It's a really nice book for 20 bucks. I take it down all the time cuz my girls love "The Raven"

I've given the gf a few as gifts. She's a big reader and loves the classics.

She probably bought it for you so you wouldn't wear out your 1st editions...

I have one of the illiaf and odessey from when I was like 15. Can't remember if it's Barnes and noble or books a million. Same concept.
