I'm not one who freaks out about storms, but she's due in 2 weeks. Anything I can do now in case we have to go?

Can't stress make labor come sooner rather than later?

Just make sure you make her the most comfortable she can be, whatever that may mean in a situation like this.

reserve a hotel room somewhere you'd like evac to and just cancel day before if the storm doesn't come near.

You don't have to evacuate with a girl who is already pregnant. She's already pregnant.

I would reserve a hotel room, a nice one 100 miles north. Make a little relaxing vacation of it. know where the nearest, nice, hospital is and take some time to pamper her while you await your newborn. If the storm fizzles just cancel. Congrats on the little one!

If you have the ability to count to ten many, many times and have a good pair of scissors you'll be fine

Yep.
Wife was 3 weeks from due date for Ivan
Plan for worst case.
Figure out where you are going to. Contact your wife's ob/gyn. Get refs for ob/gyn in your health insurance network along the way. Contact them and give them heads up.
Hope for the best.

Put diapers, at least 2 flats of waters, Pedia sure, a bucket, and prenatal vitamins, flashlight, window break, big arse knife, blanket, and a few towels in your car.

and peanut butter and jelly, tuna fish, another flat of waters and an ice chest by the door.

If you Have to evacuate, and get stuck somewhere for a while while driving, you'll at least be able to keep her hydrated, fed, nourished, and cool.

Yes, I've thought about this too.

No. I flooded out last fall in Octoberand had to flee. Wish that I had my family to be with because i miss my kids. Would not have wished pregnant wife evacuating on any family.
