I have punched myself in the face with an arm that has fallen asleep more than once. Arm falls asleep, I wake up and use other arm to examine, let go and doink, lunch myself in the face with a dead arm.

It's pretty common when sleeping on your arm.

All the time, my arm and pinky and ring finger as well. It's pretty damn annoying. Got an EMG, which was not fun at all, and they didn't really see what was wrong. I did go to physical therapy and that helped for a short while.

Up to 3-6 months. PT generally starts in 2-4 from what I've learned. Will know a lot more after Wednesday
Damn, that's crazy. What did you find out? I go tomorrow to the hand specialist. My gp thinks I have CTS.

Has anyone had the problem of their body falling to sleep when they were laying in bed, trying to go to sleep? it only happens when I lay down with my eyes closed for extended amounts of time. Any advice info could help. thanks

Not sure if this is a troll, but I'll bite. Are you talking about feeling paralyzed and unable to move?

Sounds like ulnar neuropathy/entrapment at the cubital tunnel. You can ask to try an extension elbow splint as a last resort to surgery but if coming from elbow and radiating to small and ring fingers, it's likely ulnar. If includes forearm, likely from proximal to wrist (ie elbow) as there is a sight of ulnar nerve entrapment at wrist (guyon canal). Possible to be coming from neck but to be in such a specific anatomical pattern, most likely elbow. Most patients who have the release/transposition do really well and are fully functional a few weeks out with little residual numbness or tingling. (Not medical advice)

The lower part of the arm (elbow to hand) keeps falling asleep or it feels like that. I was told it could be a pinched nerve perhaps. It only happens when I lay in bed to go to sleep.
Could be a number of things but the two that come to mind are: 1- are you (or someone else) sleeping on your arm? or 2 - are you sleeping with your arm above your heart level and your heart can't get the proper amount of circulation to it?
(I'm kind of surprised to see a couple of people recommending raising the arm why you sleep - seems like that would make it worse. But then again I know nothing at all about medicine).

Only when your wife is laying on it

"dealt with"? You mean just didn't worry about?

Sounds like you never "got to the original problem" at all.

Whats funny is when your arm falls asleep and wake up. Than when you wake up and something touches you and makes you jump. Than realize it was only you hand lol

When that happens to me I just jerk off. It's called "the stranger" and it's fabulous.
