Is it true they make like 20 dollars an hour?

I'll edit this for someone that replied asking if anyone had any crazy stories being a delivery driver. Anyone got any crazy stories too?

Depends on shifts and hours combined with how efficiently you run your routes, but yes. I made over that on rush hours and weekends. Which store you work at plays a huge role as well.

But don't forget about gas mileage, wear on your car, etc...

I was about 20 years ago. I made $4.75 and was also paid in mileage and considering we couldn't deliver pizzas 5 miles past our location -- that was not much of a help.

20 an hour now? I would think tips are factored into that.

And for people who do not tip delivery drivers because they think all responsibility should lie with him if the pizza is late...

MikeBR is and he seems to do well. And gas is getting cheap now so that's a plus.

Just don't do it in Sherwood Forest as apparently it's declining.

I've known a pizza delivery driver. He was a drug dealer on the side. Executed someone after torturing them, for his drug money. Pleasant guy.

no

Sometimes people tip well, sometimes people tip shittily, sometimes people don't tip at all.

Oh, and good luck not getting robbed

People do this? Man I'll dig change from sofa cushions to tip someone bringing me a meal.

Don't be fooled.

Mikey's out there bangin and destroying more poon than any of us can shake a stick at, and we can shake sticks all day.

Not even kidding about the poon getting massacred at this very moment if he's at work, of course.

Well I like to wiggle my bean. Maybe I'll get a night job.

Depends on how dark their delivery area is.

Plus you have to figure in gas and mileage on their car.

So to make $20 an hour you have to basically deliver to a very rich area.

Well this talk of poon slaying made me move to the davenport in the parlor to court the Misses in hopes of getting under that corset.

I delivered pizza for Sicily's in Sherwood Forest in the early 80s. I think there was one day that I didn't get robbed. It was even bad back then.

I asked mine the other day what was the average tip that he got.......he said $1-$2 only. I gave him $5, but he did say that someone once gave him $20 on a single pizza delivery. Maybe he says that to everyone so they'll bump up their tip

My Uncle owned a pizza place in Vegas and I used to make a killing. Problem was that his establishment was the only one that delivered to North Vegas (The hood) and after being robbed at gun point several times I decided to retire my delivery wings.
