I don't nag my husband either. But yeah...I do annoy him. But he annoys me as well. His work has been stressful as hell lately so when he comes home from work I say hello and greet him with a kiss and then leave him alone for the next hour or so unless it's an urgent issue I need to bring up with him.

ETA: Course...we aren't parents yet...I'm assuming he won't be so lucky to come home to quiet then

Well, aren't you perfect? I bet he has dinner already made for him as well.

Did this guy really just admit to committing gender discrimination in his hiring practices?

Nope. I work as well. He can fend for himself for dinner, he is a grown man. I'll make sure fridge is stocked with food though and will cook up stuff occasionally that he can just heat up. Usually I'm leaving for work as he is getting home so he has the whole night to himself to unwind(I work nights).

Took me way too many years to learn this.

If you have two fully qualified, equal candidates, you don't make them pick a number 1-10. You go with what you know from experience, you make a firm decision. What would you do?

If you have two of the same qualified canadidates and you don't pick one based on their sex, that's discrimination buddy. There is no excuse under the sun that makes it ok....

Flip a coin to make a decision, don't use sex as a qualifying factor.

They try to interfere with my watching porn while at work. It's annoying.

If there's women there when you get to work then it's not "work". You don't have a job, you have a place where you hang out forty hours a week and they compensate you out of pity.

I'd suggest getting a real job that would provide a real work environment.

Know Title VII myself. That said, there is always going to be some discrimination, however subtle or below the consciousness it may be. You'd be lying to yourself to think otherwise.

I recall an old friend of mine, who always hired attractive women to work in his office. One day he made a hire that the other women detested. They actually requested and got a meeting with him to accuse him of hiring her based on her looks. His comeback was that she was fully qualified, and while on the topic, they needed to remember, that there was a time that he hired them on qualifications and looks as well. You could have heard a fricking pin drop after that. The issue was never brought up again.

I vowed that I would never work for a woman boss again due to some bad experiences early in my career. However, the lady I am working for is a class act with a lot of life experience - some of it very character building, to the point that you have to admire her for just getting out of the bed in the morning. But those are few and far between.

I agree, but admitting publicly that you do it purposely isn't the best idea.
