Hell as I kidd certain nuts at christmas had an inappropriate name, there have been huge strides made unless you live in Ferguson or are a huge pussy SJW.

My wife didn't know the real name of brazil nuts until we were in college. She was looking for them at the grocery store and finally whispered to me asking for their real name. Growing up in the delta, she said she'd never heard anyone call them anything else.

Yep, everyday at recess. Also played one where 3 people stood in the middle of the playground. Everyone else tries to run by them at once. Fun full contact games. Good times.

We had a name for it, but it's ban worthy.

We played smear the queer.

Then when it got dark we beat on people's doors and ran.

What do you call that?

Grew up with smear the queer in the 70s - it was great to be a fast kid while playing this. Hell, this was pretty much a daily after school game in my neighborhood, not so much a school playground thing.

I don't think it's right for kids to be able to play a school-sponsored game called "smear the queer" but it's still crazy to think how much things have changed in just 20 years

It was a school recess favorite, starting at ages young enough we had no idea what a queer was. The whole damn recess group, 2 or 3 grades, would play. It was a mob scene.

Fun game.

Red Rover, now that game would send a kid or two to the emergency room.

There were clear hurdles in starting my Over 30 STQ League, but I'm finally not the queer anymore.

We always called it rumble fumble growing up. I didn't hear it called smear the queer until I started playing peewee football and we would play after practice at Forest Park. Go Broncos

We called it all against all football. Only played when we didn't have at least 6 to play 3 on 3 games. Smear the Queer was a bad/nono expression to us.. ~85 here.

Go Perkins Road Park Eagles!

That one was also very popular in my neighborhood, I know the game and name very well.
