Try a DMV in a rural town next time. They're much easier to deal with

I use the express DMV once every 5 years or so. It takes no time at all. I use the internet to update my license plate sticker biennially. Why would you go to the actual DMV and deal with the dregs of society too stupid or poor to use the internet or an express DMV for their needs?

I vote every morning so I can start my day.

Seriously. ...where do some of these people in here come from.

You ever notice there's never more than 1 or 2 normal looking people in this place?

They look like mythical creatures around here. Trolls and goblins and elves and all sorts of nonsense. I'm fairly certain there's a wizaRd consulting with a bridge monster a cross from me

The last time I went, the lady coached me through the eye test, so I'm satisfied with their level of service

I paid extra to skip to the top of the line.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

You can only do that so many times with plates or DL's. Eventually you have to go in and run the gauntlet. Protip: if you're in a city, it's worth the drive to go to the DMV in an outlying rural parish.

Because, surprise, sometimes the geniuses at the DMV frick up your license so badly that you're forced to come in to deal with their mistake.

Can you elaborate? How do they mess up your license? Wrong height and weight or birthday? I never allow my SSN on the license.

There is a limit on how often you can use the express DMV? That doesn't make any sense at all. And how often do you need a new license plate? Maybe my perspective is skewed because I get one new car every 10 years or so.

I was talking about doing it online. AFAIK you can use the express lane as much as you want.
