One time they crossed me up with some dude who had a suspended license. Wouldn't allow me to renew online, so I had to come in. I spent about 2 hours in there while they tried to figure out the problem and a couple of hours while they tried to figure out how to correct it.

Second incident happened in a different state after I moved. Applying for a state license. Girl put my height an entire foot less than I am (I had plane travel scheduled in the near future). Went back to show her, and she typed some bullshite into the computer and said, "Ok, I fixed it."

Lo and behold, license comes in the mail and I'm still 5'2.

Last time I went to the express DMV in Denham Springs... Wait time 0 minutes. Previously I went to the express on Perkins and waited about 10 minutes.

This was for new registration and license renewals... not sure what other services they perform.

My son's first experience with culture while getting his learners permit at DMV. His face was priceless as we sat there for an hour.

Don't mind ours. Longest I've waited is about 10 minutes and I know several of the clerks.

this depends: you can renew your registration online as long as you own your car.

I was talking about doing it online. AFAIK you can use the express lane as much as you want.

The fallback is that every other D.L. renewal you have to appear in person. You can only renew when you are sent the invitation to renew online, which as mentioned is every other D.L. renewal. Until you are age 70. Beyond that age you must appear in person for each D.L. renewal. The good news for those folks is they are open on Saturday's for seniors 55 years and older only, so that they don't have to stay so long. This is the most accurate and correct information you will find on this subject.

People still go to regular downtown DMV's? That shitty idea went out with guys wearing pink shirts.

frick the government workers. Get rid of them and the USPS. Those lazy assholes don't get in a hurry to help you. They either get government benefits or they work for the fricking government.

You can pay a small amount more, and get a notary to do anything the DMV can do.

I use Big Easy, They even have the eye test device. I'll never use a state run DMV again.
