Anyone else hate AT&T internet??

I just spent two hours on the phone with tech support because my internet was fricked up and this isn't the first time. It tells me my network password has changed when it hasn't and the technician has to go in there and fiddle with it to get it to work. Never had these issues with Cox. This is what I get for trying to save a buck. CSB.
TL;DR I'm going to kill myself if I ever have to talk to AT&T tech support again.

Yep, switched to cable, could not be happier. I think a lot of their issues have to do with the age of the wire they are running on, but that's just me.

Shitty upstream infrastructure often causes my modem to drop the connection. Sometimes it goes days or weeks running fine, other times it will be unusable for several hours. Techs have been unhelpful. I suspect they don't want to spend the money fixing the problem. Only one other option in my area, and it sucks too. Free market? It is to laugh.

AT&T uverse internet was awful. When charter came into my neighborhood it was a great day.

I hate these frickers with a passion.
Long story short: I've had to call them 15 times in the past week and a half. They are constantly late for tech appointments or don't show at all. Service drops at least 4 times a day.

24 mbps since Saturday. I had a small issue last night, but restarted the modem a 2nd time and it started working.
I hope it doesn't start shitting the bed..I'm going to be upset.

I'm a long time At&T internet customer. I've probably had a total of 10 minutes downtime over the years. It's been very, very reliable and I am extremely happy with the speed.

I hate Cox as a company more than anything but we finally had to go back to Cox after having AT&T for internet. It was just horrible and slow. They promised us for years that they had Uverse coming and it never did so all we had was shitty DSL. Glad we went back to Cox, have only had one issue since going back and they fixed it quickly. We don't have cable so no issues with them there.
The nightmares I have heard from people with Uverse cable are horrifying. I wouldn't go back to AT&T for free cable from what I have heard.

Pains me to read this. I'm moving to the Woodlands next month and all the apartments here use ATT for Internet smh
