I was able to mitigate wetlands on two pieces of property. The first piece (commercial) cost me about 2500 dollars. The second was residential, I filled out all the paper work and they did not complete the process in the allotted time, so the mitigation process ceased and my property was accessed as not wet. The commercial piece was wet, but in the middle of a lot of other developed land, so I gave them the money to help preserve real wetlands. The residential piece was said to have some sort of plant life that needed saving, but they ran out of time.(I think they were backlogged and never got to me.)
