actually that area has had a lot of money pumped in it the last few years. After the areas closer to the river have been bought up and gentrified. This area became the new are people are buying properties and renovating. I know in the last year they have redone a bunch of the streets. A buddy of mine lives just 4 blocks from there on Mandeville and Galvez in a brand new renovated apt.
