The LSU site says no gas generators.

I would like to see a link where LSU doesn't allow generators. And NO, there isn't a single LSU tailgate using a generator. They are all solar powered.

Almost Every tailgate uses a generator

my buddy wanted me to ask specifically WHERE

My buddy uses the EU2000i and it's so quit that you can have a conversation next to it. It also uses very little fuel.

I used to truck a 7900 watt generator up there on gamedays.
It was the only one we had, it weighed a ton, but we always offered to power the other tailgates around us haha.

The site doesn't say no gas generators. It says they are permitted, but discouraged. It does say the older models that "create excessive noise and emissions" are not permitted.
We have a Honda and have never had any issues.

I've had kipor, yamaha, and Honda inverter style 2ks and they all perform the same and are all just as reliable as the others, however the Honda is noticeably quieter

Yes - EU3000 checking in here.
Super quite, reliable, the 3000 is heavy and not easily portable.
Depending on your set up, I would probably recommend the 2000.

We've been using the Ryobi the last two years. At half the cost of a Honda I believe. Probably not as quiet as Honda, but it's pretty damn quiet.

When I had my food truck I powered it with a Honda EU6500i. It was remarkably quiet. Honda super quiet gens are the best IMO.
