Anybody know about the Airshow in Houston in Oct?

I'm thinking about going and need info. How far is it from downtown? Where should I stay?

If you mean the one held at Ellington airfield... It's 30-40 min down I-45 from downtown, just outside the Beltway-8 loop. I suggest staying in the Clear Lake area. There is a nice Hilton on the water, several Marriotts and Holiday Inns. Puts you near NASA and Kemah with plenty of good eats and a reasonable drive downtown.

Like the above said, it's at Ellington Airfield, which is basically Pasadena/South Houston.
I bring the kids every year, but have never gone in the show. Unless you're going for photography, you see everythign just as well from outside the air base.
Where should you stay? Clear Lake. The Hilton the above poster mentioned is in Nassau Bay, but it is a nice spot to stay. Only 10-15 minutes from Ellington.
