There is an epic thread on that that gets bumped now and then. I'll try to find it while I slack off on the clock

Imagine you are home alone, no pets. You are in the bathroom getting ready for bed, and you hear a glass break from in the kitchen...........

Its a reference to some shitty youtube video posted in another ghost thread a long time ago. Really not worth worrying about

The Smiling Man story is a good one.
I had two instances where I saw what could be termed a ghost.

There's one house in our neighborhood that has some spooks in it. Surprisingly it hasn't affected property values too bad.

Though that thread may help a lot of that is of fictional writing. There are plenty threads dealing with actual "ghost" or supernatural experiences.

the guy that owned the house before me died in it. The stoner son left his bong, and his dad's tools in the basement. It is nice because I find something to use every once in awhile from the tool room under the basement stairs. there isn't a proper door it is just a hatch so I call it the dungeon.
Well a few years ago I am in the basement get Christmas decorations, and overall pretty busy. I pop into the dungeon in the dark to grab an extension cord, and here movement in the dark corner. I assume mouse or ghost neither of which I had time for so grab what I need and move on. Curiosity got to me later on, and I went to inspect for evidence of a rodent. Well right were I heard the noise was a little piece of 1950s Christmas decoration. This is a small room and I had been over every piece of it and there was no Christmas Decoration in there, but here it was obviously left over from previous family. I thanked Frank for the Holiday Spirit, and added it to our table lol
long story short probably had a mouse, but that is my ghost story and I am sticking to it

I am the third owner of my house and the original owner hung him self in the house. We bought the house from an old couple and she had a huge cabbage patch doll collection. She insisted that my wife keep two dolls to stay in the house so we did to just appease the old couple. Well for the first two weeks of living in the house strange things happened. We put the dolls in our closet and for the first two weeks when we would get home from work, they would be moved. Some times they would be on the floor or different areas of the closet and what not. Also, in addition to this we had a rug in front of our shower and sink and they would be switched. My wife and I started to get a little freaked out but after two weeks it stopped. So in the end we apparently made "Fred" (that's what we call the ghost) happy.

When my dad was a baby, his family lived in a house here in Atlanta that they said was haunted. They would see an apparition of a lady in a pink dress on the stairs to the second floor, and they would hear a baby crying, but when they would go check on my dad, he would be sound asleep and quiet. There were also instances where their dog would react as if he had been poked/kicked, etc.
They moved to a bigger house a few years later and outside of family lore, not much was ever said about the house.
A good 30 years later, the Atlanta paper put out a request asking people to write in if they had real life ghost stories; the stories were going to be featured in the Sunday paper the weekend before Halloween. My grandmother was talked in to submitting the story about the house. In her story, she named the street, but never a house number. When the edition of the paper came out, her story was one of the ones featured.
My parents happened to be going somewhere that afternoon and by chance went by the old house and the people were moving out. Maybe it was a coincidence being the end of the month, but my parents always thought the people living in the house read my grandmother's story and were experiencing some of the same things and now had confirmation of them and were getting the hell out of the house.

About 3 months after my father died, I heard a loud bang across the house. When I walked into the kitchen, my sister walked out asking why I shut and locked her door. I said wtf are you talking about? Turns out her door only locks from the inside and she distinctively remembers the door shutting then locking.
Later after that evening an old dirt devil vacuum, I am talking ancient, hasn't been plugged in or used in years turns on. We were stunned. Still do not know how the door shut or how the vacuum (which had been unplugged nor worked for months) turned on.

You're gonna think I'm joking but I'm not. It's happening all the time around my house. I walk past the island and stuff flies into my hands.... this morning the remote fell off the couch... other day the door kept opening...
It really doesn't bother me at all anymore. I don't even care what it is. The Lord is coming back soon and I'm pretty excited that I may live to see it
