I got mine out when I was 21 a few years back. Pushed the surgery back so I wouldn't miss out on birthday celebrations haha. Took me right at a week and a half before I felt better. My tonsils were huge as well. The pain I endured post-surgery was nothing compared to the bouts of tonsillitis I had beforehand. I had liquid lortab and lidocaine to numb my throat. Lived off of strawberry fruit popsicles. Make sure to not drink anything acidic. Stick to gatorade, apple juice, water, etc. Just chill and watch movies or play video games.

I had three surgeries within a 9 month span. Anesthesiologist was an OT 7. She shot the drugs in my IV and while they were wheeling me out of preop, I told her that I usually have to buy a woman dinner before she sees me naked. My grandpa busted out laughing and my mom about died.

I bet they hear some hilarious shite

I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. And it's just local IV and wasn't put all the way out, but felt like I was on a cloud haha. And as I was being wheeled out the hospital a hot pharmaceutical rep was walking in the door... I put on my brakes, pointed, and said "I wanna go where she's going." And it was a hospital employee that was wheeling me around because my Mom went to pull the car around. And I started yelling at the guy saying " I wanna go with her. I don't know you, but I wanna know her." And tried wheeling my chair away from him towards the hot lady

But I was amazed at how old school wisdom teeth removal is. And I had all 4 impacted. All they do is cut open the gums, and pretty much use a hammer and a pick and chisel away and bust up the teeth, then use a wrench and pull it out. Hasn't advanced that much over the years.

I got mine pulled when I was 16. While back but it didn't take long for recovery at all. I remember they told me the older you are the worse it hurts, or something like that. But it wasn't much more than a week really. Just kind of hard to swallow your food and drinks the days after but it goes away with time. You shouldn't be looking at 2 weeks though considering mine was barely 10 days.

I had mine removed at 19. It was 2 weeks of hell.

But worth it because I had multiple bouts of tonsillitis per year which sucked arse.
