I’ve got a few gifts coming in on Christmas Eve. Plus still gotta get a few more things locally. shite is wearing me out. Not to mention the general unease of upcoming hosting of various family functions and driving all over from one to another.

Plus I got all this work shite to finish before end of year. I swear. This Christmas is feeling less christmassy than any other. Im ready for it to be over. I can’t remember feeling like this in the past. Kinda sucks. Bah humbug.

No. I order my gifts with enough time so they aren't arriving on Christmas Eve.

Yeah I usually do too. But that’s just one of the many reasons. I’m also not sleeping worth a shite so it’s just one more cog in the wheel.

No. I focus on Jesus and the beauty of advent instead of all the materialism.

Nope, my mother passed and we sold her house.

So this year the families are splitting and we are staying home, I don't have S$%T to do all day but chill.

Indeed. I have been saying my prayers for help staying focused on that aspect as well. There’s just these waves of other stuff that’s overwhelming it a lot more than usual and it’s bizarre because it’s not typically me.

Don't do this to yourself. Don't fall into the commercialized herding.

Man I’m sorry to hear that. Puts some things into perspective. As I was going to sleep last night I was thinking about how good I have it. How good my family life is. How as my kids age, as my folks age… it will never be this good again.

I’m with you, still have to finish shopping today (which I hate), plus work- and the in-laws are inbound. Ready for the “most wonderful time of the year “ to be over lol

There is a lot of flu, rsv, and covid going around so some family members are sick this year and that has me sad that some are missing the festivities.

Nothing "needs" to be done. I appreciate a phone call rather than a gift. Don't want to host or go to someone's house? Don't. People stress themselves out about silly things. Enjoy yourself, thank God for sending his Son and have the best Christmas ever.

A little. I’m taking food to my mom to celebrate and can’t think of anything bc nothing sounds good right now. Gifts. I give my kids money and a small gift and mostly done. I gave up years ago buying gifts for everyone I know (and don’t expect gifts) bc Christmas is too commercialized. I’ll give throughout the year as desired. So, that cut down on the stress not being out Christmas Eve wondering what to get so and so bc I just remembered her.
