Think it is in New Roads. I heard good things. There has to be at least one person who loves to eat at Satterfield's.

Hit or miss.

When the head chef is there, the food is good.

If he isn't there, expect frozen food and leftovers.

Hottails and Satterfields are both way overpriced imho. Cool decor in hottails though.

The small place across the street from Satterfields has great food though!

Satterfields is fun to eat on the top deck at sunset though then go downstairs and have a cocktail.

My mamas is where it's at. Satterfield is very average but cool location on water. Bueches isn't so bad on the island side.

Top notch bar down stairs on the water. Only catch. Food comes in styrofoam. Steak is tender enough you don't cut through it tho. Not a bad place.

Food is above average to good. You're paying more for the setting than you are the food. Fried mushrooms for the appetizer and the ribeye is my go to.

Hot Tails operates like Mc Donald's. You have to wait in line to place your order at the counter, then sit an wait for it. The food is over priced, over spiced, and over hyped.

It's not terrible, but you're not paying for the food alone. Half of it is the experience of driving your boat down from your camp, tying it up in front of the restaurant, then getting some food next to the river

I know they don't have a view but is Ya Mamma's still good? I recall having a good meal there almost 7 or so years ago (seafood mushrooms, stuffed flounder, ect).

I do miss my New Roads days. To anyone whom had a wedding reception in the spring of 2005 at Morrells or Scott Civic Center, chances are I crashed your wedding. Hope the married life is wonderful.

Not sure if it's the same name or not but parrot's on the island side has an awesome steak night every Monday. You have I get there early or call ahead for them to save you one. Back in 2010 it was $14 for a 12oz ribeye, potato, salad, and bread. Add the 1980s drink prices, Steve Winwood on the jukebox, pool tables and that's a good time.
