I already have an addiction to nicotine. I've been dipping since I was 10.

I started using my vape around Christmas time. I now only smoke cigs when I drink, which is only Friday and Saturday, because I don't want to lose my vape when I'm drunk.

Yeah, it was a stupid decision 15 year old me made that will have some effect on me the rest of my life. Cravings never completely go away.

We're all glad you're perfect. Here's hoping that you can quit your online message board posting habit soon too.

I'm guessing that you've quit smoking? And you always have the "want" for a cigarette?

I've been on and off the last couple of years. I'm currently off smoking again, but it's only been a few weeks this time. The longest I've gone is 6 months. I started back that time because I was out drinking with friends and allowing myself that 1 cigarette didn't seem like that big of a deal. Then it snowballs. Whatever. Learning experience.

When you quit, it's hard at first then cravings become a lot less frequent, but they never really completely go away. There are just moments that seem perfect for one, or something really stressful happens. I know people who have quit for years or even decades. These moments never completely go away. Just have to get better at resisting them.

In my experience it's just a replacement. It doesn't help you quit at all. You become just as reliant on vaping as you were on smoking.

The vast, vast majority of health effects from tobacco come from the smoke itself. Nicotine may carry some cardiovascular risk, but it's still uncertain. If you're addicted to nicotine, you're much better off getting it through some other method than cigarettes.

I quit dipping by vaping. Started with 24mg, now down to 6mg. It made it a lot easier. I only vap after eating meals, basically replacing my dip habit.

i like the highest VG concentration. Makes the liquid thicker and coils don't burn out as fast

I quit smoking two years ago after doing it for 27. It was probably the hardest thing I've ever done. I used the patch and ecigs. I smoked a pack a day average and more if I was drinking. Honestly, if you only smoke when you drink, it's more of a crutch not an addiction. It should be a lot easier to quit for you than a regular smoker. You will quit doing it when you make up your mind to. You cannot quit smoking with a half assed effort.

Also, without a doubt smoking is one of the nastiest odors, you don't fully realize it until you quit. Vapes are not remotely comparable to the stench of a cigarette.
