Any of you have stories about meeting drug smugglers, cartel members, etc

Not talking have you ever bought a sack of week, wondering if any of y’all have any cool stories of run ins with the cartel or have you ever smuggled anything etc.

Guy that I was ‘friends’ with back in high school ended up doing drug runs from Knoxville to Phoenix and back like the summer we graduated high school. Never kept up with him but he ended up getting arrested a year or so later.

The kid smuggling stuff is for real ya'll. All the Walmart stories from Lake Charles and Alexandria where the Hispanic guys are following the mom and her sweet kid around the store have been proven to be true on Facebook.

Long before the cartel videos came out on the reg, I was sitting next to this dude at the Rockets game and we got to chatting. He showed me these 2-3 videos on his phone of the cartel murders which were extremely gruesome.
I asked him how he came to be in possession of them and he said that one of the shooters was his brother :/

was on a company sponsored field trip in bahamas...The group was way back in the marsh looking at sediments and rocks.(oil industry and we were geologist)
suddenly a bunch of guys stepped out of the grass/woods with a LOT of automatic weapons...They asked what we were doing..we told them looking at rocks...they looked at us and i am sure we looked concerned and geeky...
they told us to move along...and we should look at rocks some where else in the future..
we did...and the company moved the field trip to turks islands...
we always figured we walked into a drug thing?????

Had an Uber Ride with ex-gang member (from Cali) in NW Arkansas.
Escaped because he wanted out, had 2 family members killed as retaliation. Asked him if he's personally killed anyone and he said "no comment"

Early 80's an army vet at LaTech took me to where his vet buddies set up in SE AR at a duck camp. They'd get some of that Mena air drop. Had at least 2 cabins full of coke, talking stacked floor to ceiling in all but entry area. I was there for hash though.
There were 5 guys I met all armed openly with AR's and AK's as well as sidearms. Nice as can be since I was just there for business and knew better than to ask questions or try to look around too much. Pretty certain there were more around the camp but they stayed out of sight.

When I was 17 I would drive a pound of weed from a grower in my town to a guy in the next town over. I got paid an ounce per trip. Went on for a month or so and the grower got busted by the drug task force and I never heard from him again.
I was an idiot, but the free weed was nice.
