Uncle was a member of the V11 Sundowners and flew an F14 during the cold war (not Gulf War, I know). That's all I got.

My brother has more than a few. I know joint problems and constantly watering eyes.

If it is Gulf War Syndrome, you will receive compensation from the VA. If any veteran from the wars think they may have this, go to a doctor and also file a claim with the VA. You are missing out on compensation by waiting.

The VA will initially deny the claim for Gulf War Syndrome, or most if not all disability claims, for that matter. Make sure to appeal the denial. Unfortunately, unlike the media would have you believe the VA makes it very hard, difficult and adversarial to receive any disability compensation. For mental health x1000, they routinely diagnose Veterans with an Adjustment Disorder or Personality Disorder instead of PTSD so they don't have to compensate them. Disgusting really.

Hey I've been struggling with a lot of things, I fake the funk pretty good in work and life to where it is unnoticeable. Last year a guy I deployed with three times killed himself leaving behind his wife and kids. It was a surprise to everyone including me to a point. I've been medicated and do not prefer it so I'm not wanting that route. What are your thoughts on emdr is it something you feel I should look into more and do you know of anyone good in my area. The Mobile VA is a joke and I'm tired of dealing with them. I'm honestly just tired all around. PsychTiger any words or advice are appreciated, thanks

he US found a large cache of chemical weapons such as sarin nerve gas. So they did what anyone would do. They blew it in place. Really THEY EXPLODED NERVE GAS UP IN THE DESERT! Who had that bright idea????
That may be the most 'Army' idea ever.

Actually, I didn't. I had been friends with her since kindergarten. This was one of the biggest cases of getting better looking as they get older thing. She went on to model and was asked to pose in playboy. She declined and quit modeling at that point. She'still one of the most awesome people I know. I'd post a pic but I know there are folks on here that know her.
My wife still doesn't believe me but I never laid a hand on her. Honestly our friendship was worth more.

Keep submitting claims online through Ebenefits. Can you be seen at Pensacola VA? Meds are no way to cope with something like that....let me know if you need help finding assistance

Yet you can walk into a SS Office, file for SSI benefits and immediately get a check for telling them you are unable to work.

Served during the time so I received a ribbon. Never set foot in the Middle East. Spent my time at Ft Meade as a Russian linguist.

Somewhat. You have to either file the claim on a 21-526 or other approved form or do an intent to file. If you file the claim and are granted service connection at 10% or higher, then it is retro to the date of claim. If you do an intent to file, you have one year from that date to file the claim and any retro is from the date of the intent to file. Once you get 30% or greater, you can add your dependents on for extra compensation.
