That purple one is spectacular. Where could one buy such a plant?

How/when do you get flowers to bloom? Mine is looking pretty good, but I've never had flower blooms.

You've done a nice job managing that plant. Back before kids we had some in white. Gorgeous flowers.

You have to feed them and water them correctly. They hate cold or wet feet so a sandy type soil is best. I work with a man who has some over 15' tall. He's been raising some for over 25 years and he's extremely knowledgeable about them. He swears by using Carl Pool's BR-61. It's a great plant food for flowering plants. You can get it on Amazon. I sprinkle my planter with two teaspoons every two weeks. Then water the plant. For smaller plants I`m sure one teaspoon would be perfect. No food and water maybe once a month during the winter. Mine are 5' tall in big planters.

That place is over in Seffner. It's about 30 minutes from the house. Beautiful nursery, congratulations on your success.

I went and saw the blooming corpse flower at the US Botanic Garden last Tuesday. Sadly, I didn't know about it on Monday, when it started blooming, so I missed the peak of the smell. It was merely a slight musky, woodsy smell, not bad at all.

Forgot to bring one of my Nikons with me to work, had to snag pics with my phone. You can see the stumps of the other two flowers that bloomed on the 20th and 22nd--they don't last very long.

Beautiful! It's my new favorite plant.

If you're in Texas, check out Gulf Coast Plumeria on facebook. If you're in Louisiana check out PLUMeria Crazy on facebook.

Every spring LSU has a plant show and there is a vendor there that sells them, all types and varieties. They sell sticks and tell you how to grow them.

Yes, that is Karen with PLUMeria Crazy. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have any purple/gold though.
