You are like my wife (pic is my av), when ever I buy something and she says it's junk, ugly, etc, I make good money off of it. She needs to become an appraiser but let anyone know if she appraises your stuff, it's just the opposite.

It worth $200 or so.

It's been a while since we had a good "look how much money I make off of garage sales" thread from you.

BTW, something being worth an amount vs actually selling for that amount are two different things. No way that ugly thing sells for $200 which is why you got it for $1.

Wanna do a little wager on your statement? I will bet it will sell for at least $100. It's worth $200, I'm expecting at least $100 for it. There are a couple things I didn't mention here that makes it worth $200, the designer for one.

What if I offered $5000 right now because It's the last part of a lifetime hobby project, a gift for a stone nerd.... Cause things can have a change in value every time it changes possession.

As a child I was in Tennessee. We went to some tourist attraction where you could pan for gold and rare rocks in this creek. I found a cool looking rock and got excited. I asked the tour guide excitedly "what is it? Is it worth anything?!?" He said "wow, you found a leaveitright!" I got even more excited and asked what that was. He said "leave it right there cause it ain't worth shite." My parents cracked up.

If that is truly liquid silver and that pendant is sizeable, you got a hell of a deal. Get a silver cleaning cloth and clean that thing up.

It is a liquid silver chain. I usually don't clean stuff because some people may like the aging. The biggest thing that makes this so valuable is the designer, J Linkin.

LINK /

Ocean Jasper is a trade name for a multicolored stone from Madagascar, typically with spherical patterning. Although commonly described as an orbicular jasper, the most recent research suggests it is the mineral chalcedony instead. Some pieces have agate banding or druses of clear quartz, a coating of tiny crystals, known more commonly as "druzy".

The variety of quartz known as chalcedony is often unfamiliar to people. It is actually the mother stone of many semiprecious gems: banded chalcedony is better known as agate, red as carnelian, and black as onyx, etc. Ocean Jasper's capacity to transmit light is a characteristic of chalcedony. By definition jasper is not translucent, unless cut extremely thin.

So the link above says ocean jasper was introduced to the public in the year 2000

And you think it's Navajo?

Hmmm
