Honestly, I also thought the data was presented in a weird way. It wasn't that the southeast has the highest concentration of gays, but the most. A quick look at the map confirmed my suspicion. Think of all the large cities they included in the southeast.

You're being obtuse. That map clearly contradicts well-established geographic boundaries. Whether it's to attempt to make some weird point or not is all that's left to debate.
