Anchorage police Lt. John McKinnon said 18-year-old Devon Maurice Brown was been arrested in connection to the trashing of the Carrs Safeway on Northern Lights Boulevard, as well as the shooting of one of the store’s employees. Saturday morning, Anchorage police say a group of unruly teenagers was fighting inside the store, breaking merchandise and urinating in the aisles. One of the teens pulled out a gun and shot a store employee as the group fled the store, police wrote in a release. The incident occurred before 7 a.m. Saturday. The employee sustained injuries authorities described as not life threatening. APD spokesperson Renee Oistad confirmed Monday that Brown was the teen who shot the store employee. He is charged with misconduct involving a weapon, assault and reckless endangerment. “Officers were able to get some still footage of the video and then circulate those among the department,” McKinnon said. “And other officers recognized the individual as Devon Brown and a detective actually recognized him — then they did an investigation. They were able to secure enough information for a probable cause statement, which they took to the magistrate, and then got a warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody this morning without incident.” Detectives are still investigating to determine who else was involved.

You can tell because Sara knows how to hold a gun properly.

Mountain View neighborhood in Los Anchorage is the most diverse in the nation and a crime ridden hole. Some Catholic group brings in refugees plus it's near the military base.

Sounds like the prosecutor, and maybe even the police want more of this to me. If someone comes into the prosecutors office, trashes the place, pulls a gun and shoots someone, are they charged with "misconduct with a gun" or attempted murder? How about police headquarters? Officers would be justified, returning fire when fired upon, wouldn't they? How can that amount to misconduct with a gun?

There was a time when such things were perceived and in actuality were in most cases a good thing. It's a hard thing to say this is wrong, but nowadays, don't know how you can see any good from it.
...not close to any of this, so I just don't know, but everything I "See" tells me it's got to stop.
