More F-250s and truck nuts to be available at bargain basement prices.

this time -- the Saudis kept pumping away, prices stayed low, and American companies let their drilling grind to a near-stop. Pickens doesn't expect them to resume anytime soon, even if prices come up a bit.

"It'll be hard to start the United States back up," he said. He was more blunt over dinner. "The industry," he said, "is dead in the water."

They pressed Pickens on how high prices would need to rise to bring U.S. oil rigs back online en masse; he said higher than $40 or $50 a barrel - probably closer to $60.

Why are you celebrating the return to the days of dependence of foreign oil? Do you realize what will happen when demand exceeds the reduced supply once provided by domestic firms?

Problem also lies with the inefficiency for which they are drilled. People from one end to the other get burnt out. It's hard to balance as companies when it's so up and down.

Being in a different field now showed me how fast paced the industry is.

Saudi Arabia hates the USA. Why do we allow them to do this to us?

Over 21 ft and you're just wasting money you could have spent on a body lift and jet skis.

The stone age didnt end bc we ran out of stones...

It would actually start up fairly quickly... Its not exactly rocket science to roll a rig up to N Dakota and punch a hole in the ground...

I just find it weird how unemployment can be 5% after 100k's of oilfield baws been laid off....

Nothin burns like hydrocarbons baw... You aint gonna zoom zoon your bayboat w/solar
