Starting to sound like a good alternative solution to waiting for hours in a grocery store checkout line for leftovers. If you order right now, by the time it ships the roads might be clear.

Walmart has a new grocery option. Shop any store item online, they fill the grocery list, set up time to pickup at store, park in front of store, groceries brought out. Drive home. Easy as that. One time they took 20 minutes when it first began, and gave me a $20 gift card I used to immediately buy Rum.

I don't believe you. They can't even staff all of the departments, much less have personal shoppers.

I don't think I've seen a person working a department besides electronics in the last 5 years or so.

No way. No how. Nope. Nope. Nope. It's Walmart. They will frick it up. Why? Because the majority of their employees don't give a crap about the customer and are only working to buy incidentals.

He's talking about the current situation. There are about half a dozen working my local Walmart. No way in hell are they gonna be fulfilling orders right now.

It was only available at a few walmarts in the area. Denham being one of them. That store was flooded so it will be closed for some time.

It's not at every Walmart

It's not at every Walmart like Croaka said above, and definitely not post flood at impacted areas for a while.

Krogers are also starting to do this (ClickList) in Kentucky, I'm assuming they're also doing it in other states.

It's like $4.95 fee but it's awesome. I've pretty much used it exclusively since they started the service.

This sounds awesome. Hopefully they put a hurting on Amazon. They clearly have the wherewithal to do so with a huge advantage in having both storefronts and a much more robust distribution network. Curious to see if the Jet acquisition pays off on this front for them.

Kroger offers the same deal. Order your groceries online and pick it up at scheduled time.

There isn't a Kroger where I'm at. I will continue to go into the grocery stores here though before I step foot in a walmart for groceries, even if they did have the convenient pick up.

I've been using the Walmart option for about a month. So far, it's flawless.

The only caution is to be vigilant about the amounts/sizes/weights when ordering. I meant to order 5 green peppers and ended up with 5 pounds of them.

I use Amazon Prime to order all of my groceries (aside from meat and eggs) every month.

It also is cool that Prime Pantry has shite I can't get at the grocery store like Surge. shite is amazing and takes me back like 15-years.

How is that funny? Do you think they can even compete with Walmart in terms of logistics and having ease of access to storefronts?

Eta: also, refrigeration
