Why the hell would you go to a brick and mortar Amazon store? The whole point is to sit back on my couch and get what I need so I don't have to rub elbows with the people of WalMart.

Isn't this hypocritical and against the free market principles that allowed them to be such a massive success?

Lowes already does this. If you are on their "guest wi-if", you can't access Homedepot.com or Amazon.

If it isn't intentional, it's a hell of a coincidence.

Simply can't see the attraction of an Amazon store anyway, they're only relevant due to online/shipping to me.

Well they just bought Whole Foods so it'll probably be used in those stores.

IMO they are playing w/fire b/c on the surface this seems like an extremely anti consumer thing to do.

Sounds like an opportunity for me to patent a way to get around it.

This would violate net neutrality, but I don't know if non-ISPs are asked to adhere to NN.

Some places don't accept Amazon for their price match.

I tried to do it at best buy once and they said Amazon doesn't count.

Best Buy does price match Amazon, but it has to be shipped and sold by Amazon. They won't match 3rd party retailers that have listings on Amazon. Same for Walmart.com...Best Buy will only match it if its shipped/sold by Walmart but won't do it for 3rd party vendors that have listings on the Walmart site.

I've been in a lot of big box stores where cell coverage is minimal or "no service". They are all playing this game. WAKE UP SHEEPLE

Amazon already changes the model numbers on all of their products to stop price matching.... So

I didn't realize that. Thanks for the info. Those F-ers should have price matched my headphones.

I'd have instantly ordered it from Amazon using my phone right in front of the manager, wished him a nice day, and walked out of the store.

EDIT: Actually, that's a fricking lie. I wouldn't have been in a Best Buy. I'd have just ordered it from Amazon in the first place and waited two days.
