I still think the prosecution has the betting edge in conviction, but it's gotten a lot closer to a coin flip.
The day after I'd have guessed something like 85-90% shot.
Now it's like 55-45.
Hindsight is 20-20, but they should have given immunity immediately to Carver. Instead they doubled down and charged him with video voyeurism months after, eliminating any latitude they had relating to his alleged criminal conduct.
Politically, it's going to be really difficult to give the white kid immunity after he was charged with the one thing they can prove almost 100%, months after the initial indictments.

I have an issue with filing this motion not under seal, and their clear preference to muddy the jury pool regarding the victim but the motion itself is part of defending his client.

Cases involving alcohol and sex are nasty and if you've had sex within the prior 24 hours it gets nastier. They'll paint her to be the town slut
I do not want to be her parents. Not only is my daughter allegedly raped and

deserved it.
Maybe there is some white knighting, but God forbid anyone of her family end up coming across these threads. As it is local I couldn't imagine seeing the way people who never met my daughter or loved one were quick to blame her or drag up her mistakes. Hopefully those of you who bring that up in every thray have a perfect family and are never in a situation where a stranger behind an anonymous screen name take shots at your loved ones because they think they are better than them.
This lawyer is trying to use this testimony to provide doubt that rape occurred. He also leaked it in an attempt to defame the character of the deceased.

Yep.. This is exactly why they wanted her cell phone information. Long even stated that was the reason. Prosecution is screwed now. I would think Carver would have flipped earlier but now they have overcharged him. The uncle Lee may still be able to be flipped depending on his firsthand knowledge of what happened.

Who’s to say she wasn’t dating frat boys too? That this happened with them.
